Addiction to Drugs
SUICIDAL FUN – ADDICTION TO DRUGS
A teenager may
want to feel the fun of smoking a cigarette for the first time. He/ She may
really feel a kind of fun so he/she would try it second time and would
continue. One of his/her friends would invite him/her to share a joint, saying that
it was like smoking a cigarette. So, he/she would try it and next time
they try cocaine or heroin. In that way he/she would become a drug addict. On
the other hand, a teenager would consume a beer at a party for the first time
would end up having whiskey. Eventually they would ruin everything such as
family bonds, education, reputation and good friends over drugs.
Why do people tend to
have drugs?
1. Curiosity
There is a saying that curiosity killed the cat. It means when you learn the lesson you are no more. Most people who want to test drugs end up as drug addicts.
2. Depression
When someone is alone and feel depression, he or she wants to get rid of it at any cost because it almost kills them. They think that drug would help them to get rid of depression. But they have exchanged life to death.
3. Anxiety
The other thing that someone tend to have drug is anxiety. When they have been experiencing some unpleasant memory, panic attack, ill fortune they find a way to keep away from them. eventually they would end up addicting to some drugs.
4. Pain and weariness
One who suffers from pain due to an illness may addict to an intoxicant hoping to keep away from the pain. As well as a person who overwork may try some drug to get rid of the muscle pain and eventually addict to it.
I’m not going to explain you the health hazards you
experience in detail as a result of consuming drugs. Because you already know
the damages they bring to your nervous system, heart, lungs and brain, more or
less. I will remind you the overall result of addiction to drugs.
Lungs are the softest organs in your body which purify blood by
releasing CO2 and absorbing O2. This task takes
place between alveoli and capillaries which are very fragile
structures inside the lungs that you should take some extra care to protect,
instead you destroy them yourself by smoking poisonous drugs.
Our brain is made up of neurons, very sensitive cells which
conduct nerve impulses. When you take drugs regularly the sensitivity of these
cells become weak and finally, they become numb and inactive. They are like
wires or paths of a circuit. When one wire or path damages it affects to the
whole circuit.
Heart is the next most vital organ in our body which is
responsible for storing and pumping blood to every cell of your body. If the
heart becomes weak cells don't get food. When the cells don’t get food to work
and restore, they become weak and inactive.
All types of drugs increase the metabolism of your body for a period of time. That’s why we feel exhausted after the action of drugs. Continuously they make our whole body – each cell of it – weary. Stronger drug you consume faster you become weak an sick.
Are you ready to take these risks consuming drugs?
·
If you smoke cigarettes daily (more than 3) you
may lose 10 years of your lifetime or become sick (due to damages of lungs and
respiratory system).
· If you
drink alcohol daily (more than two shots) you may lose 10 years of your
lifetime or become sick (due to damages to the nervous system, liver and heart).
·
If you smoke cannabis regularly you may lose 20
years of your lifetime or become sick (due to damages to the nervous system and
lungs).
· If you take any other drug stronger than that – cocaine, heroin etc. – you will lose 40 years of your lifetime or become sick (due to damages to the nervous system and/or heart/lungs).
When you face a problem avoid finding suicidal answers to them. when you feel depression or anxiety try to go out for a walk, watch a movie, listen to some music or talk to someone. When you are curious about something get to know about that from a source of information, internet, book or magazine without trying to get firsthand experience. Make your environment a happy and peaceful one saying no to all kinds of drugs.
